Father's Day Masculine Crafts For Sports Lovers
Another month and another collaboration between 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop and 3D SVG (Dreaming Tree). Christi here from Scrapping For Tranquility ready to craft with you!
Father’s Day is right around the corner, so I thought I would make something for the Dads in your life. These masculine craft ideas are great for Father's Day, or for handmade birthday cards.
I made the Football Jersey Box and the Sports Dad Card files from Dreaming Tree.
I am right out of Chicago so of course we are Bear Fans! I kept everything in those colors. Of course I had to pay homage to the late, great and fabulous Walter Payton, but you could also customize this with the recipient's name!
Next, I decided on the Sports card.
Tip For Safely Removing Paper Pieces From Your Projects To Reuse
The card file called for a turquoise pattern paper where the blue is. I made it that way first and I really didn’t like the color with my Bears jersey. I then decided I would keep all the Chicago colors. I didn’t want to remake all my pieces, which leads me into my tip for the month.
If you have paper pieces that you have already glued or permanently taped them down on your project, but decide you want to change out pieces, how do you get them up without ripping them or your cardstock? Here's my tip. I take a baby wipe with very little moisture. One that can wet the spatula but not drench it. Wipe the whole end of the spatula until it is moist.
Slowly slip the spatula under the piecing and it will slide right off. I know a lot of you use a spatula already but try the wipe, it really helps you get it off the project cleanly.
