3, 2, 1 ... Ready for take off! Hi everyone,

I’m April from Lilacpeaches Handmade. I’m going to show you how to make a milestone banner, whether you’re using a Cricut machine or not. Milestone cards can be used for a variety of things. I personally love to use them to display photos for party décor. The theme I decided to use for this project is outer space, but you can recreate this project with ANY theme you’d like. The Silver Holographic Sparkles Foil was the PERFECT paper to use, it has an out of this world sparkle! It is currently out of stock, but the Silver Mirri Lava Holographic paper would look really cool too.

If you decide to use Cricut Design Space, there are many images you can look up on Design Space that are free, or you can hand cut images you find online. Let’s get started!

Clothespins
Themed Images (Optional – I used outer space clipart I found online)

I used 3-layers of circles for my base. My largest circle was 3” in diameter. The other two circles were slightly smaller to create nice shadow offsets. Many people use milestone cards to represent ages – this means you can use it to represent weeks, months, or years. Or you could even do grades for a graduation banner – the possibilities are endless!

Depending on how many milestone cards you’re making, made sure to cut that many sets of circles along with the corresponding numbers to go on each card. If you’re using Cricut Design Space for your cutting, I used the Posterboard setting when cutting the Silver Holographic Sparkles Foil as it is slightly heavier than 65lb cardstock.

Assembling Process: Once all your pieces have been cut, the rest is easy peasy! I used Bearly Arts Glue to layer each circle on top of the other so that there are a total of 3 layers per card. You can choose to do more, or less, depending on your theme. Once I have the base for my cards assembled, I added the numbers and images with 3-D foam adhesive squares to give it a popped out effect.

After I have assembled the front of the cards, I flipped them over and hot glued the clothespins to the back of each card. I glued as close to the bottom of the card but made sure that the clothespin was still hidden so that when the photo is clipped, the pin itself would not be visible in front. I then took my photo and card and clipped them together onto my ribbon.

For ease, I usually hang my ribbon wherever it’s going to be displayed. Mission complete! You now have adorable milestone cards to show off the beautiful person you’re celebrating!

The best part of this, you can save them as keepsakes!
