Simple Handmade Card Templates Using Scraps

I like to try to get as much use out of my die cut sets as I can. Even those tiny little shapes that I hardly ever use. I've shared lots of card template ideas in the past and here's another one! These simple handmade card templates use scraps and can work for any occasion and holiday.
I took a square die (mine measures 1 1/2 inches ) and sorted through my die sets to find little happy shapes.
Hearts were my first thought, then I moved on to balloons and stars. But how about snowflakes, mini ornaments/Christmas trees, or even just mini circles? I chose colors that reflected my occasion and popped up the squares with foam tape squares.
Now what to do with all those extra little shapes, you ask? I drew 3 straight lines on my card front and placed the hearts like they were strung on a string. No wasting!
Hope this inspires you to pull out your mini dies and some scraps for your next card making session.
