Need a treat holder idea for this Valentine's Day? Kate here with one of the simplest (and cutest) DIY classroom Valentine ideas. This treat holder is fantastic for any holiday (think birthday favors) and can even be used as a place card for a dinner table.

Supplies:

Take a piece of paper (patterned, stamped, or solid) and cut to 4 x 6 inches. This measurement can be adjusted to fit your treat but if you need a lot of these treat holders, this 4 x 6 measurement allows you to get 6 holders per 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock.

Use a strong adhesive (like double sided tape) and run it along the 4 inch side.

Attach this taped side to the other side, forming a roll (like a toilet paper roll).

Then add tape to close either side of the tube, but in opposite directions. If you remember the old sour cream containers, this is what it should resemble.

Just make sure you add your treat BEFORE closing the top of the tube!

Now you can decorate as you please. Add a tag, stickers or even punch a hole in the top to make a hanger to decorate a Christmas tree.

These would also make great personalized table place cards at your next dinner.
