Hello!  I want to share a fun and whimsical watering can I made.  The pattern is from My Scrap Chick.  It is their Monthly Freebie this month!  If you want to get the pattern for free hop over there, sign up for their newsletter and you will get it for free!

When I received the new Neenah Stardream in Fairway Green I knew the watering can would be perfect to make with it.  It has this beautiful summery green grass shimmer as if you are using the watering can to water your fresh summer flowers and plants.

As you notice, the shimmer is evident if the sun is shining right on the "metal" of my watering can.

So, let's make this beautiful watering can!
Supplies Used:
Neenah Stardream Pearlescent Cardstock in Fairway
Bazzill Mono White Cardstock
Bazzill Ballet Dotted Swiss Cardstock
American Crafts Pink Paisley Cardstock
Prima flowers and roses
Catherine Pooler Inks
I started the project by cutting out all my pieces, in the colors I wanted them, with my Silhouette Cameo 3.  You can use any cutting machine or even use the PDF and cut by hand. 

I continued to lay out all my pieces to make sure I had everything to make my watering can.

Once I have all my pieces cut and gathered,  I like to ink all my pieces to bring more depth to my 3D piece.

This is NOT something you HAVE to do.  It is optional.  I use Catherine Pooler Inks.  They are a Dye ink that stay wet a little longer than most so you have a bit of time to blend them.  I LOVE THEM!

Taking your main piece to the watering can, Bend in towards the center at all the folds. 

Take your bottom layer of your panels and glue the top layers of your panels to them.  Making sure to keep them centered and even on top of one another.

 

Turning both panels over after you have put them together, Put glue on the back side of both them.Start Layering your double panels onto your watering can layer.Making sure to layer them into the area they fit.  There will be 4 sides, a bottom and a rounded spout area. Side panels being put on.On the rounded spout area, before you glue the pieces on here, take a straight edge of some kind and you want to work the edges into a semi circle.  I used the side of my spatula.  FInding your two panels for the spout, do to these as you did with the other panels and glue them together.While the glue is still wet and drying, it is easier to manipulate the panels into the semi circle so take your flat edge and round the corner on this to fit the spout on the watering can.Put glue on the tabs and glue one side at a time.Hold your corners down tightly till they are dry.Once all 4 corners are up you want to glue the spout down. You want a generous amount of glue on each corner of the rounded end of the spout.Turn and put a generous amount on other side of spout.Bending the spout backwards into the watering can, glue the corners of the spout into the watering can.  Hold tightly until dry.Now for the long spout of the can you need to fold on both dotted lines in towards each other.Gluing your long spout layers together, layer them onto the long spout.The small rectangle panel fits on the inside of the spout as shown.  Glue it down.Making sure to line the spout up perfectly, put glue on the inside of the spout on the sprinkle head ONLY and hold together till dry.Taking care to glue the spout onto the front of the watering can, line the bottom of the long spout to the bottom of the watering can. Hold until secure.
