DIY Cricut Halloween Pop Up Candy Box

Thu, Oct 01, 26 . Michelle Price

Hi friends! Amanda from Lace Designs Studio here. Today I’ll be walking you through the assembly of one of these adorable pop-up candy Halloween boxes. I chose to assemble the pumpkin first and then repeated the same steps for the additional two characters. Here is the link for the Halloween Candy Boxes so you can make your own Halloween craft!

I first started my grabbing the cutout of the face and folded along the scored lines. I then went and started assembling the eyes from behind the cutout circles. Once the eyes were done, I moved on to the two pumpkin face layers and glued them together along with the mouth pieces. I added blush on the two scored marks on the face and then set this piece aside.

Next, we’re going to work on the outfit pieces. After I folded along the scored lines, I grabbed the blue shirt pieces, starting the one with the curve around the neckline as the front of my box. I assembled the front and back areas with the blue shirt and then put the green overalls over it. Next I took the two small panels and folded them so one side would be glued directly on to each side of the box, right above where the cut mark is.

Now we’re going to grab the thin green strip and using a marker or round object, curl the paper. Then we’ll stick the strip into the cutout hole at the top of the box and glue each flap to the inside. Then we’re going to grab the tab with two indentations and cutout and align it where each side panel flap fits right into the tab, and glue them.

Now it’s time to work on the bottom box, start by folding along all scored tabs and then glue the small tabs on the inside of the box. Glue the front portion of the box on the inside but don't glue down the two sides.

Lastly, we’re just going to glue the piece that we glued with the two indentations to the part of the box with the pumpkin face, lining up the cutout. Then we’ll take the rounded tab on the bottom, insert it into the box where we left one of the sides unglued, and glue it. Also you’ll want to glue the tabs to the inside of the pumpkin face to create the box. Repeat for the back. Glue the paper that serves as the feet to the bottom and add the leaf and strips (curl first) to the top of the head.

Now you have an adorable Halloween pop-up candy box to enjoy for some holiday gifting!
