DIY Retro TV Favor Box
Hey Craft Friends! Amanda from Lace Designs Studio here. This favor box was one of my best sellers a few years ago and I’ve decided to bring it back to my shop. It’s super simple to put together using this TV Box Template and just makes the most adorable retro TV party favor.
I started off by prepping all of my decorative pieces. This included adding foamies to the speaker and buttons, folding the antenna for use later, and for better durability when candy is added, I duplicate the stand legs and glued them together.
Now, its time to work on our box. For both halves, you’ll want to fold along the dashed score lines and apply glue to the tabs. I find it easiest to glue and decorate the front panel while the box is flat.
Once the box sides are glued, I glued the frame of the tv screen onto my printed image and then turned it over to apply foamies for dimension.
Next, I added all of the decorative pieces on the front, closed the top lid and flipped the box over so I could glue down the bottom tabs to seal the box.
Once the bottom was sealed, I glued the antenna piece on the top lid and then glued the legs of the stand to the bottom front and back. If you plan to put heavy objects inside, I suggest using the tv without the stand legs or using a 100+lb cardstock so the box legs don't bend.
Now you have the perfect retro tv favor box that can be customized for any theme!
