Noel Mosaic Card Instructions
1. To begin, let’s work on our mosaic square accent piece. Choose 2-3 colors of green and 2-3 colors of red cardstock. Cut three strips of green and three strips of red, each measuring ½” x 5 ½” (you can add in white if you’d like). Adhere these strips to the 3” x 5” white paper rectangle alternating colors. When finished you should have a rectangle with long strips covering the entire thing. Make sure each strip is well adhered all the way across.
2. Using a paper trimmer, trim ½” strips across the colors. You should now have a bunch of strips that have multi colored squares on each strip.
3. Begin to adhere the multicolor strips onto the 2 ½” x 4 ¼” white cardstock rectangle. You can create whatever pattern you desire. Once completed, trim off any excess around the edges so the piece measures exactly 2 ½” x 4 ¼”. This becomes your accent piece. Set this aside for now.
4. Next let’s build our shaker. Adhere acetate circle to the back of your O from your noel letters.
5. Using foam strips, place foam onto the acetate all the way around the O. You are forming a cavity for your shaker bits, so be sure and have foam touching all the way around. Gap in your foam means your shaker bits go flying when you shake it. Do not peel off foam backing yet.
6. You now have a cavity to add shaker bits to. Choose your favorite shakers and pour some into the shaker cavity. Very carefully peel off the foam backing. Place the white circle onto the back of the shaker, lining it up perfectly. Press down all around with your finger to ensure a tight seal.
7. Adhere your mosaic strip ½“ from the left side of the card base. Adhere NOEL letters to card.
8. Bend your holly leaves slightly in half for dimension, then adhere them to the card above the E and L of the noel. Finish off with the holly berries.
