Cardstock Strips card

Challenge 1: USE CARDSTOCK STRIPS ON YOUR PROJECT

This challenge comes to you from Design Team Member Kate.

"If you don’t know me by now, I love a strips card. I love to make backgrounds with various sized strips, but I also love adding the strips to a stamped image to avoid coloring.

I stamped the image on a white card base in black ink, leaving it in my Misti stamping platform. I then glued the strips down and re-stamped the image over the strips. This way you get a colorful card without actual coloring! This type of strips card is almost a one layer card (not too much dimension). Add a sentiment (or not) and you are good to go!"

Supplies: Bazzill Card Shoppe in Wax Lips, Circus Peanuts, Banana Split, Sour Lemon, Robin's Egg, and Candy Necklace.

diy cardstockembellishments

Challenge 2: CREATE YOUR OWN DIY EMBELLISHMENTS (SET OF 3)

This challenge comes to you from Design Team Member Michelle.

"Oftentimes I have the desire to create something, but not the energy for a full project. I like to pull out my scraps and make some DIY embellishments that I can use on a full project at a later date. This can be as simple as cutting out a layered SVG design and putting it together, or paper flowers.

For my project I created some paper rosettes and some paper flowers. I made a whole stack of flowers and then used them to layer on the rosettes, tucking some leaves and other bits into the cluster. This is an easy way to use up extra diecuts and stamped images you have lying around. I'll use these on packages, or add to card fronts."

Supplies:

Bazzill Dotted Swiss in Honey, Bazzill Fourz in Arroyo, Patch and Spring Breeze

COLORED CARDSTOCK STRIPES WITH A WHITE BUTTERFLY FOCAL POINT

Challenge 3: USE WHITE CARDSTOCK AS THE FOCAL POINT OF YOUR PROJECT

This project comes to you from Design Team Member Monica.

"White cardstock is often overlooked when there are so many other choices, but it can be a really striking focal point when layered on vibrant colors.

For my project, I created a simple striped background with patterned paper, then added a white butterfly as the focal point You can adapt this design to a lager scale for a scrapbook page and use clusters of white butterflies!"

Supplies: Opulent Opal Glitter Silk Cardstock, Various strips of patterned paper
