I really like advent calendars and love to create them as gifts for family members. For today’s project we are creating an advent calendar with 25 small individually decorated envelopes. I have tucked chocolates and a small message in each envelope for each day. I would highly recommend mass producing for this project. So cut all your envelopes first, then cut all your numbers next and then sit down to decorate. Doing this helps to complete the project quicker.
I first cut 25 3x3 envelopes using cardstock from American Crafts CHRISTMAS 12x12 Cardstock Pack. Do not fold them right away. If you plan to decorate the envelopes, then keeping them flat will make it easier to decorate. You can also purchase premade envelopes in all the pretty colors here at 12x12 Cardstock Shop.
I used texture paste and a stencil to create a pattern. I also used some thread and die cuts to decorate each envelope. This is a great project to use up cardstock and embellishment scraps. Once decorated, I folded them, filled them, and sealed them.
I cut gold numbers from Bazzill GOLD Matte Foil Board. I arranged the envelopes alternating different colors and numbered them.
Hope you enjoy creating this project as much as I did.

Linda-
The tray is a post it note and pen holder from Target.
What sort of tray are they in? So neat. Thanks.
Hi Cindy! We don’t sell the die, but we do have premade envelopes if you want to cut out a step!
Your Advent Calendar envelopes are a terrific idea!
I like Advent calendars also.
You have created such a unique one.
Does 12 × 12 cardstock offer the die to make one’s 3 × 3 envelopes?
