Ever forget the measurements for all the different handmade card sizes? Design Team member Kate is here with all the measurements you need to make several card sizes including A2, Slim Line, Mini Slim Line, and Square cards. On your next card making session use this as your guide and try out a new size of handmade card!
What size is an A2 card?
An A2 finished card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. An A2 card is essentially a piece of cardstock measuring 8 1/2 x 11 inches, cut in half to make 2 cards. But since we sell mostly 12 x 12 cardstock paper, you will have some bonus pieces to use in other projects!
Cut your cardstock to 8 1/2 x 11.
For a top folding A2 card, score your cardstock at 5 1/2 inches and then cut in half at 4 1/4 inches.
For a side folding A2 card, score your cardstock at 4 1/4 inches and then cut in half at 5 1/2 inches.
For a top layering panel, trim a piece of cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4 inches. If you would like a larger white border, trim to 3 3/4 x 5 inches. (pink panel)

What size is a slimline card?
The size of a folded slimline card is 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 7 x 8 1/2 inches, scored at 3 1/2 inches. For a layering panel, trim your cardstock to 3 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches. (red panel)
What size is a mini slimline card?
Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 6 x 7 inches, scored at 3 1/2 inches. For a layering panel, trim your cardstock to 3 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches. (purple panel)
What size is a square handmade card?
Square cards are tricky because of available envelope sizes. Most square cards are 5x5 inches and there are square envelopes available. But you can fit a square card in an A2 envelope if it measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches. For this size, start with a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/4 by 8 1/2 inches, scored at 4 1/4 inches. For a layering panel, trim your cardstock to 4 x 4 inches. (blue panel)
