Hello 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop and Dreaming Tree Fans! Christi here from Scrapping For Tranquility bringing you a colorful and fun idea for a handmade card for teens. This is also the perfect handmade card for gamers in your life! I used the Retro Gamer Shaker card SVG from Dreaming Tree for my project.
Let’s take a look…

This gamer shaker card was a lot of fun to make and for the beginner to the advanced crafter. It comes with the pattern to also make an envelope to match.

I used retro cardstock from Echo Park’s Teen Spirit Collection (Boy) for my background on the inside. I also used 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop's new Shaker Bits. Using the Spring collection Shaker Bits, I fell in love with the stars and thought it fit perfect with this card.
Supplies:
- Grafix Acetate by 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop
- Encore Textured Cardstock in Capri Cove, Swimming Pool, All American Red, Lemon Twist, Goldfish, Jet Black
- Echo Park’s Teen Spirit (Boy)
- Love/Party Shaker Bits
BONUS TIP
When making a shaker card I have a bit of advice. Use any kind of Anti-Static Powder on the side of your foam tape so your bits do not stick to it. I also use the anti-static powder on the bottom of my shaker and the inside of the acetate since there is always static pulling your bits. To not have so much powder on the acetate, after I put it on there, I gently blow on it to get any extra off, that way it isn’t cloudy. I hope that helps!
Until next month,
Christi

Thank you for the hint to use anti-static powder on the inside of the foam tape… never thought of that. Love the card.
