Paper Piecing For Card Makers

Paper Piecing is not just for scrapbook layouts anymore!

Hello! Christi here from Scrapping For Tranquility.  I wanted to show you another technique you can use for making your cards instead of stamping and coloring.  I know I am new to coloring and I am just learning the fundamentals of coloring, so I tend to do other things to make my cards beautiful.

Today we are talking about SVGs and paper piecing for card makers!

Supplies:

Handmade Easter Card
Here I took a SVG from My Scrap Chick called Fluffy Bunny.  I used American Crafts Precision White Cardstock  from 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop to make the  base of my card, the scalloped oval and most of the bunnies bodies.  I then used Peony Pink American Crafts Cardstock for the top layer of my card, ears and hearts.

The flowers I made with American Crafts Peony and Blush cardstock.

White always has a blue hue about it so I chalk ink my bunnies with a light blue chalk ink. I chalk inked all my other pieces with the necessary colors, put a little blush on the bunnies, and drew their eyes, eyebrows and nose area.

Taking some Pink Diamonds, from Ann's Paper Boutique, I spread them throughout the card to finish it off.

So, stamping and coloring is not your only option when making a pretty card.  I love using my SVGs or my dies also to make fun scenes to fit my occasion.  Try it out sometime!

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you next time!

Lovely little bunnies. Precious card makes a big impact and not a long prep, always a great thing. Thank you for sharing.
