Design Team Member Kate is back this week with another idea in her quest to use the supplies she already owns. This time she pulled out her basic shaped dies and came up with this window box card design. This is an easy card template that you can make in under 5 minutes. Really - time yourself and see how fast you can make it.
Window Box Handmade Card Template Supplies
- Bazzill Card Shoppe in Marshmallow
- Bazzill Swiss Dot in Slipper
- Hero Arts Infinity square dies
- Miscellaneous leaf and heart dies
- Sentiment strip from Taylored Expressions
Window Box Handmade Card Directions
To make this handmade card, grab some pretty papers and two sizes of metal die squares and create the "windows"on your top panel of the card. You could do this with any shaped die and any number of openings.
On the back of the front panel with the cut outs, use foam tape to pop up the top panel.
Fill one window, or all of them, with small paper flowers (or balloons, or anything). Because you have the top panel popped up with foam tape, the flowers appear to grow out of the shape.
We love this idea because you can use the basic idea of this card template and mix and match shaped dies for the windows and mini dies for the embellisments and create a whole stack of cards!
