Design Team Member Kate is on a mission to use the supplies she has on hand. If this is your first time seeing Kate's work, then you are in for a treat! She's here today with an easy idea for a handmade Valentine card. Stay tuned for the end where she shows you a bonus idea that works for any occasion

Our Encore Textured Cardstock line has so many colors in so many shades (106 to be exact)! One of the best things about Encore cardstock is that there are multiple shades in every color family so you can mix and match colors easily. Kate chose 4 coordinating shades of salmon pink cardstock, but you could really make this card in any color.

Color Block Valentine Card Tutorial

First, Kate cut 1 3/4 x 5 1/2 inch strips of the Encore Cardstock and adhered them to some thin scrap paper (think printer paper).

She then cut the heart shape 4 times from each color combo, making sure to alternate the die cutting so she was getting all the combinations of colors (see photo).
