DIY Christmas Tree Napkin Ring

How To Design A Paper Napkin Ring

Start by designing the base of your napkin ring in your design software such as Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio.

   • Make a rectangle sized 6” wide x 1.5” high.

   • Add two half circles, one to each end of the rectangle.

   • Weld all pieces together to form a single, clean shape.

Add the score lines for easy folding and a precise finish.

• Add a 0.8” score line on each side where the rectangle meets the half circles.

• Change the score line to a basic cut.

• Attach these to the base, placing the left score line facing down and the right score line facing up.

Next, design the decorative element that will sit on the napkin ring.

• Add a Christmas tree silhouette and a star on top.

• Weld them together.

• Place a score line in the center of the tree and attach it.

• Duplicate the tree three times for the layered 3D effect.

Now you will prepare the star for on top of the tree.

• Create your star design, add a score line in the center, and attach it.

• Duplicate it three times.

• Cut these out of Gold Coins Glitter Luxe Cardstock to add the perfect festive shine.

Assembling A Christmas Napkin Ring

Once your design is ready, cut and assemble your pieces.

   • Send everything to cut and score on your Cricut (or preferred machine). 

 

   • Finally, secure the completed tree onto the napkin ring base.
