If you have limited time to craft, you don't want to spend your precious time THINKING about what you are going to make. It's great to have an arsenal of easy card layout ideas so you can jump right into creating.

Holographic Heart Valentines card
Back when Kate started making cards (over 22 years ago!) she always heard the saying "CASE a card". It stands for Copy And Share Everything. So Kate decided to CASE herself!

Star christmas card with florals
Last month, Kate created this card over on Instagram reels. The layout is simple...just a shape, embellishments and a sentiment.
Here's the layout shown as a sketch so you can see the basic idea.

Use any shape as your focal point...pop it up as in the heart card below, or use it as a window as in the star card.  You can place the shape in any position on the card: in the center like the heart card or offset along the bottom right as in the star card. Here is Kate's Valentines card version of the template so you can see how easy it is to adapt!

You can use diecuts or stickers for the embellishments.  You can use all different types of cardstock for the background...stamping on it, embossing folders or textured cardstock.  There are so many possibilities for this easy card layout idea!

If you follow along with us on Facebook or have joined our Facebook group, you may have noticed a weekly challenge prompt. This year we're bringing back some oldie but goodie projects with a Take Two Challenge! Each week we'll choose an old Design Team project to inspire you and YOU create something based off the original project, just like the CASEing in this blog post!

It doesn't need to be an exact match. You can be inspired by the color scheme, the theme, the design, or anything. Just create a project based off the original and share it on the Facebook post comments!
