Where do you get your card inspiration? Design Team Member Kate is on the blog today with an idea for some color and design inspiration and ideas for handmade cards.

Where to find inspiration for handmade cards
I know you can find color inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram, but lots of times I save little things from my everyday life. When I'm struggling to come up with a card idea, I often turn to my folder of saved items like advertisements, postcards, and gift bags. Today's card inspiration comes from a restaurant take-out bag!

I searched through my stash for a daisy die and used my Encore Textured Cardstock Swatch book to match my cardstock to the bag. The take-out bag just had the design along the lower right hand of the bag, so I mimicked that in my card layout.

You can find inspiration and ideas for handmade cards anywhere!
Supplies:
- Encore Textured Cardstock in Pink Grapefruit, Turquoise Necklace and Dolphin
- Die from My Momenta
- Sentiment from Hero Arts

Lovely way to take inspiration from something like a restaurant take put bag! Plus, a cute, simple layout too.
