New Years Eve Party Cupcake Toppers

New Years Eve Party Cupcake Toppers

Hi Crafty Friends, Amanda here! Today we’ll be working on four cute, easy to make New Years Eve cupcake toppers and the files I used are here: NYE Cupcake Toppers. You can use any cardstock you have on hand for this DIY party decor, but the sparkle from the cardstock I used is sure to wow your guests at your party!

NYE Cupcake Toppers

It’s easiest if you keep each set of toppers organized together and work by set. I decided to start with the disco ball and work towards the ones that will have the most pieces. When I tell you these are simple and fast to put together, I mean that! For the disco ball,  simply grab the layer with the cut outs, and apply glue on the back and adhere to the filled circle. Next, just add hot glue to your acrylic stick, attach and set aside. I normally add glue to about 1” of the stick.

Next up, I worked on the “2026” set, and I knew I wanted to have the offset 3D, so I had foamies set to the side. I started by gluing the individual numbers onto my middle layer, then flipping to add the foamies and attaching directly onto the back layer. Finally, I added hot glue to the acrylic stick and attached.

Now we’ll work on our “HNY” set. This one is really cool because it has a flat 3D effect where the offset extends out to the side. If you’re using textured paper, I’d recommend doing the trick where you create score line guides to your base. To do that, duplicate the letters, make them score lines and attach them to the base before cutting. 12x12 Cardstock Shop has a tutorial for that here. When using glitter or sequin cardstock, this tip doesn't work, as you won’t really see the scored lines, so just try your best to place everything neatly.

I started gluing all of the letters down, and then added the gold star bursts on top before attaching the acrylic stick to the back.

Lastly, we’ll work on our popped champagne bottle. I welded some of the layers together so it’s easier to place each appropriate layer without having to “guess” its placement. It’s pretty straightforward where each layer will get glued and doesn’t take long to put together. You can glue it straight or tilted like I did to give it the “popped” champagne look.

Thanks for the feedback. We do try and rotate through Design Space, metal dies or no tools. We often offer free SVG files, but cannot always do so. Thanks for understanding.

I may have missed it but I don’t see anywhere to download the SVG files. This is such a cute project – are the SVG files posted somewhere?

I’d love to make these but I am not a subscriber to Cricut Design Space. Perhaps next time use something more available to all?
