What a better way to kick off 2021, then with a bright and happy rainbow wreath card? Design Team Member Kate here with another fun idea for using vellum.
Vellum comes in translucent and in several colors, but sometimes you don't have the exact shade you are looking for, so did you know you can make colored vellum n any shade you want?
I took the 12x12 Bazzill 40 lb White Translucent Vellum and colored parts of a sheet in all the colors I wanted using my alcohol markers.
I then diecut leaves in the various shades and sorted them according to like color.
To assemble the wreath, I cut a ring from chipboard and started stacking the diecut leaves and flowers along the wreath, keeping them together in their color families and glueing them down as I went. I used my Art Glitter Glue, as it keeps the pieces holding fast.
I placed the wreath on some Bazzill Rainbow Holographic 12x12 specialty cardstock and now I have the happiest card to send to that someone special!

The vellum trick is great. I am going to try that one out. Excited. Thanks for a great tip and beautiful wreath!
What a happy and cheerful card design!! Love all the rainbow colors. Thank you so much for sharing. I will have to make my version of your design soon.
Great project. Will give it a go with my Silhouette machine to cut the pieces after inking the vellum. Love the translucency of the vellum for this. Thanks for the tutorial.
Wow that is a stunning card and fabulous idea….I have lots of different vellums and so now I must
try this… don’t have alcohol markers but have some other markers I think may work……Or I have alcahol inks…Thank you for sharing this great tutorial.
The circle die and the leaves are from a die set from Rubbernecker Stamps called Wreath Die Set, but I did add some other dies from various die sets that I have in my stash. I bet if you looked through your sets, you’ll have little leaf and berry dies that you can use. The circle die is 2 1/2 inches wide….if you pair two of your closest cirlce dies together from an infinity set, you can make a wreath…
