Hi all, it's Design Team Member Kate back on the blog ready to share with you this handmade card template for making simple sympathy cards! I find that sympathy cards are too difficult to make when that time comes so I try to keep a few available in my stash. I like to take one day and make a dozen cards so that they are ready to be used.
Here's a simple sympathy card template for when that difficult time arrives.
Handmade Sympathy Card Template
I took my Infinity/nesting circle dies and chose 3 sizes that would fit on my A2 card front (in this case 1 3/4 inch and 2 inch and 2 1/4 circles)
The first card is the easiest: 3 circles, a silhouette diecut and a sentiment.
Supplies:
- Rope Swing Dotted Swiss
- Encore Smooth Snowy White
- Die from Crafty Meraki
- Sentiment from Pawsome Stamps
The second card is a bit "stepped up". I used a panel of Dotted Swiss in Sandbox for the background and cut the circles from Dotted Swiss Salt. A black leaf silhouette diecut and a sentiment strip finish this card.
Supplies:
- Rope Swing Dotted Swiss
- Salt Dotted Swiss
- Sirio Pearl Ultra Black Cardstock
- Die from Crafty Meraki
- Sentiment from Taylored Expressions
The 3rd card gets a bit of the bling treatment with some Gold Pearls and some Shimmer Vellum diecut leaves tucked behind the main diecut. The main diecut is cut from Neenah Stardream in Crystal.
Supplies:
- Dotted Swiss in Cornmeal and Pewter
- Gold Rhinestone Kit
- Encore White Pearl Shimmer Vellum
- Neenah Stardream in Crystal
