If you're a paper crafter, you probably have cardstock scraps! Today's papercrafting tip is a great idea for using cardstock scraps from die cuts in a creative way.
Most of the time I die cut a shape and throw away the “innards”. But one day I thought…could I use them? This technique doesn’t work for all dies, but if it is a relatively recognizable shape, this might be an idea for you!
Speaking of die cutting cardstock - we love Bazzill Card Shoppe for die cuts. It's smooth, thick cardstock that doesn't warp when diecut.

All I had to do was cut the leaf die in 3 shades of teal. I laid the outline down and used that as a “stencil” to glue the innards. Be very careful not to get any glue on the outline part so you can then lift the outline once dry.

You also can use a heavy item like an acrylic block to keep the stencil in place while you glue down your pieces.

Without having hours of free time?
Because with all these tiny bits of paper, just pick them up, find the spot they go in, then put some glue, then put them back at the spot they were suppose to be… for each little piece of paper… looks terribly long… So how can tou do this?
What a great idea, Kate! I love this idea and the look is just so beautiful. Where can I find the SVGs for this card? I also went to your Instagram page and boy o boy, you have so many stunning card models there! Do you share or sell these SVG?
